Any current NDSCS student can purchase a laptop from the college’s ITS department. These laptops are designed to support student success by providing:

LAPTOP REQUIREMENTS:

A current Windows laptop is required for students in the academic programs listed below. Specific laptop hardware requirements vary by program and course. As of January 1, 2023, some programs require laptops with Windows 10 to run the course software.

• The ITS Department at NDSCS sells laptops designed to meet the requirements of academic programs. Any current NDSCS student may purchase a laptop from ITS, which includes accidental damage protection and on-campus hardware support.
• NDSCS strongly recommends that students in the following programs consider purchasing their laptops from the College to ensure compatibility and support for required software:
  • Architectural Modeling & Design Technology, Construction Management Technology, Electrical, Land Surveying & Civil Engineering Technology, Precision Machining Technology, Unmanned Aircraft Systems, Welding.
• Students should contact the NDSCS Financial Aid office to determine if the cost of a laptop can be charged to financial aid.
