The Robotics, Automation and Mechatronics Technology (RAMT) program is designed to provide students with the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to succeed in industries utilizing robotics and automated systems.
- Type: A.A.S. degree
- Locations: Wahpeton
- Cluster: Manufacturing, Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics
The Mechatronics Engineering Technology (MET) program is designed to provide students with the knowledge, skills and abilities necessary to succeed in industries utilizing robotics and automated systems while preparing them for transfer into four- year engineering and/or engineering technology programs.
- Type: A.A.S. degree
- Locations: Wahpeton
- Cluster: Manufacturing, Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics
The NDSCS Robotics, Automation and Mechatronics Technology program trains you to be prepared for the dynamic field of mechatronics.
Mechatronics is the combination of disciplines used in manufacturing and production facilities such as:
- Electronics networking
- Automated manufacturing
- Computer systems
- Mechanics
- Fluid power
Mechatronics technicians will troubleshoot, repair, install and program automated manufacturing systems. Some of the industries that employ people with these skill sets are manufacturing, pharmaceutical, food, energy, defense and agriculture.
