The Caterpillar Dealer Service Technician program at NDSCS is part of the thinkBIG program.
Students receive up-to-date technical training on Caterpillar equipment and systems through a combination of classroom instruction, hands-on laboratory instruction and an internship at a participating Caterpillar Dealer.
Work experience at the dealership is structured to relate to the most recent classroom/lab subjects covered at NDSCS.
Caterpillar Inc. endorses the program and Butler Machinery Company, the Caterpillar Dealer in North and South Dakota, sponsors students.
Student Selection Procedure
Students are accepted into the program upon completion of admission into NDSCS. Students who successfully complete the admission process are eligible to interview and test with the CAT dealership of their choice. All students must have a dealership endorsement before enrollment can be completed. Students should do the following to get started:
- Apply for admission to NDSCS through the Enrollment Services office.
