North Dakota State College of Science students Taylor Heinz and Jessica Mastel, both from Wahpeton, N.D., were recently selected to serve as the College’s representatives on the North Dakota Community College Academic All-State Team.
“Taylor and Jessica are outstanding examples of academic achievement and community involvement,” said NDSCS President Dr. John Richman. “Being named to the North Dakota Community College Academic All-State Team is a significant accomplishment, and we’re very proud of them.”
Nominees are selected through the Phi Theta Kappa All-USA and Coca-Cola Community College Scholarship application process. Nominations are also based on academic success, community and campus involvement and leadership, and an application essay.
Phi Theta Kappa is an international honor society, and the academic team recognition program is active in 37 states. All-State nominees will also be considered for nomination to the All-USA Academic Team.
