About Our Department

The Liberal Arts program at NDSCS is designed to provide you with simple, seamless transfer options.

​Choose from over 30 emphasis areas within the Liberal Arts transfer curriculum plans and receive your degree in Liberal Arts. Depending on the emphasis selected, students will receive either an associate in science or associate in arts degree upon completion of the required curriculum.

The purposes of the Liberal Arts transfer curriculum plans are:

  • To provide two-year programs of general education for students who will transfer to a senior college or university.
  • To provide courses that meet established professional, accrediting, NDUS standards for two-year colleges.
  • To provide two-year programs for those students who are undecided about their choice of a career.
  • To provide general education courses for personal enrichment.

This option is available to the student whose goal is a bachelor’s degree, but who may be unsure of his or her major.
